DUE TO THE HIGH NUMBER OF FALSE CASES AND APPLICATIONS, CARE STANDARD NO LONGER GOES THROUGH AGENTS OR EXTERNAL COMPANIES FOR REFERRALS

Care Standard is an Immigration Licence Sponsor, on the Register of Worker and Temporary Worker licensed sponsors, working in compliance with the Home Office rules & regulations.  Applicants are required to meet a compliance check prior to expressing interest. To apply for skilled worker permit vacancy with Care Standard, candidates must follow a process which consists of several stages;

Stage 1

Preparing and submitting all the relevant documents including English competency, experience profile/cv with photograph, references, Criminal Records Disclosure (also referred to as a DBS/Police certificate), and other legal documents. This will include specific information for immigration purposes such as travel history, visa rejections etc. These documents can be emailed or forwarded via any other suitable means. The individual may be required to send these documents several times throughout the process and will be expected to have all original documents available to photocopy upon arrival in the UK. This process can take several weeks depending on which country you apply from and the level of documents required. Individuals intending to travel with dependents (i.e spouse, partner, children) must disclose this beforehand. Individuals will be informed of the expectations of the role including any specific training required before starting.

Stage 2

Once the documents have been inspected and reviewed by the legal team, a formal interview will be arranged either virtually or over the phone. If this is not possible, then a pre-application assessment may be issued to fill and complete consisting of an application pack, maths and english test, and a competence form to understand the individuals understanding and experience in care. This process will be assessed by a experienced care professional who will recognise whether the person has experience in care and is suitable for the role applied for. The available vacancies will then be explained to the individual. Though there is no specific requirement to work in care, a care professional will decide whether the individual is compatible for the role.

Stage 3

Once an interview has been carried out and you have been informed of your success, the paperwork process will begin which includes organising your files, ensuring all copies are clear (600dpi preferred), and all are submitted to the immigration team. Once the documents have been reviewed and verified, the information will be submitted to the home office to approve the Certificate of Sponsorship. This process can a few weeks depending on how soon the paperwork is verified and available, and the type of application submitted. This process may involve an additional interview to ensure compatibility to the role. The legal team may also interview to ensure the legalities are met and no essential information is missing.

Stage 4

The final stage begins once you receive your Certificate of Sponsorship. At Care Standard, we do not issue the job description immediately as further interviews take place upon arrival. Prior to leaving the country, individuals are expected to hold copies of all essential documents. Once the individual arrives into the UK, they will be given a physical interview date where they will visit the appointed office with all their documents. These documents will be copied, signed, and held on file. By this time, the BRP card should have been collected. Individuals will be required to complete an application pack by hand and enrol onto the appropriate training courses.

After arrived into the United Kingdom and completing the final stage of documents, individuals will be assigned to training (online and practical f2f). The online training (issued by CQT Training) must be completed within 30-days of assignment. Even if the applicant has many years of experience, holds senior qualifications, or has a senior position (such as a Nurse, Doctor, Paramedic etc), the training is still mandatory as the candidate must be familiar with the UK laws, regulations, and processes required for the position. Individuals will be informed of the necessary modules, and those modules which can be completed whilst shadowing/working. This package is called "the essential's"
